Trekking excursion in the area of Lake Roca located within Los Glaciares National Park, at 70 km from El Calafate. It is a different adventure to the activities that can be done in this area as you will hike in the forest to reach the Perito Moreno Glacier viewpoint which offers unique views of the environment and surrounding mountains. During the 3 hours trekking, you will interpret flora and fauna and marvel at the landscapes of the Andes. Finally, you will have lunch in a camp in the middle of nature.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate at 9:00 a.m. After one hour drive we will arrive at the corral of the Estancia Lake Roca, from where we will start the first hiking hour to, later, reach the main viewpoint of the Perito Moreno glacier. There, we will remain for a few moments to watch this amazing and unique wonder, like the fauna and flora of the area, and the endless Patagonian sky.

Afterwards, we will follow our hike heading to camp Rio Rico, (1 more trekking hour) skirting the Crystals Cord, where we expect a typical Patagonian lunch: delicious steaks with garlic, red wine, juice or water (for vegetarian we can prepare a special menu consisting of a stuffed squash).

After lunch and a good rest, we resume the trekking for 1 more hour returning to the estancia's corrals to take the shuttle back to El Calafate and arrive at 5:00 p.m. at the city. The total duration of the hike is 3 hours.
