Physicaly demanding trekking tour in El Chaltén in which you will visit the famous Laguna de los Tres located at the base of Mount Fitz Roy, departing and returning to El Calafate or El Chaltén on the same day and always accompanied by a mountain guide. This tour is aimed at those people who are in good physical condition and who seek to discover a mountain landscape that very few tourists who visit El Chaltén can access, while visiting the main trekking trails in the area that offer spectacular views of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.

If you book the tour with transfer from your hotel in El Calafate, we will pick you up to head towards the mythical Route 40 in direction of El Chaltén. From there, we border Lake Viedma, with the Andes Mountains in the background, until we reach the city of El Chaltén after 3 hours and 220 km travel.

Once in the mountain village, those passengers who book the excursion from El Chaltén will be added to the group and you will continue the journey in the vehicle for another 26 km until you reach Estancia El Pilar next to the Blanco River. From this point begins the 20 km and 9 hours trek round trip in total to Laguna de los Tres always accompanied by a mountain guide. The first part of the trek is relatively easy until reaching the Poicenot Camp (6,3km), where the Blanco River will be crossed to, then, begin a more difficult and uneven trek towards Laguna de los Tres (2,5km).

After several hours of demanding trekking through the forest, where you can observe hanging glaciers and spectacular landscapes, you will reach the culminating point of the activity which is Laguna de los Tres. There, you can eat the lunchbox, which is included, enjoying the view of the base of Mount Fitz Roy.

After the visit to Laguna de los Tres, you will return to El Chaltén but this time going down through Laguna Capri towards the city (11,2km). Upon arrival, the vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in El Calafate.

Important: In order to guarantee the departure of the tour, it is necessary to have at least 4 people confirmed in the group.
