You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge at least 1 day (24 hours) before the tour starts. If you want to cancel or modify your booking, please contact the Customer Service Center at contacto@patagoniachic.com. The cancellation of your reservation with more than 24 hours before the start of the service will not have charges. You will receive a full refund of the amount paid, using the same payment method and currency chosen in the original payment. In case of canceling or modifying within 24 hours before the start of the tour, there will be no refund of the amount paid without prejudice to the events that could have led to the cancellation. In case of partial cancellation or modification of a reservation, the same terms detailed above will be taken into account. In case of no-show, there will be no right to claim, even in the event of force majeure.

Although our office is located in the city center of El Calafate (Av. Libertador 932), we recommend you to book any tour in advance on our website to avoid the lack of availability since excursions have limited seating and usually sell out in advance. Besides, by booking in advance, you make sure that the rates will not change. You can contact us on arrival at El Calafate but some tours may not longer be available or could have changed the price.

Due to the fact tours take place away from the city center, some include the pick-up service from your hotel in the price while others offer it as an optional service. If you will not have a vehicle to move in El Calafate, it is recommended to add the transfer service in those excursions that it is offered as an option since it is the only way to get to the ports from where the activities begin. In the description of each tour it is described if the transfer from the hotel in El Calafate is included or not in the price of the tour itself. If you need to add the transfer from your hotel in those tours that is not included in the rate, you can do it during the reservation process.

Many tours offer discounts to people who meet certain requirements. If offered, they will be described in the detail of each excursion. To get discounts for children, during the online booking, the system will apply the corresponding discount to each passenger according to their age and then we will request you to send us a photo of the valid documentation that verifies it. The company providing the tour may request this documentation again on the day of the tour and refuse to provide the service if the information does not match. Children under 12, students and residents of Santa Cruz have discounts on the price of the national park entrance fee while argentinian retirees enter for free.

The entrance fee is payable only for tours that take place within the national park. Ticket price for Los Glaciares National Park is AR$ 12.000 per person, children from 6 to 16 years old AR$ 1.500, children from 0 to 5 years old enter for free showing ID the day of the tour. On the other hand, the entrance fee price for Torres del Paine National Park in Chile is 31.200 Chilean pesos per person (about USD 40). Children between 13 and 17 years old pay 16.000 Chilean pesos and children under 12 years old enter for free.

Tours operate every day regardless of the weather, they are not suspended by rain. In the extreme case and very unlikely that a wind or snow storm prevents the completion of the activity, we will offer you to modify the date for the next day or the refund of the amount paid.

Yes, there are differences between the rates for Argentines and foreigners. The prices for Argentines with local DNI are those published in pesos on the website and the prices published in dollars on the website are valid for foreigners. You can see the rate according to your nationality by changing the currency on the website or, if you make a reservation and the system identifies that you are not Argentine and you are looking at the rates in pesos, it will modify the currency to dollars as appropriate.
