The Nativo Experience tour is a half day activity in which you travel in 4x4 vehicles along the shore of Lake Argentino within Estancia 25 de Mayo Natural Reserve, being ideal for the day of arrival or departure from El Calafate. The tour offers an anthropological and historical approach to the passage of man in these lands, rediscovering the experiences of the first expeditions ventured into the unknown by the Santa Cruz River and Lake Argentino.

Nativo Experience focuses on the history of the first contacts of explorers with the Tehuelches (native indians of the area), crossing cliffs and marveling at views of Lake Argentino and the Andes Mountains.

After we pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate in 4x4 vehicles, you will head to Estancia 25 de Mayo Natural Reserve where you will make a stop at the cliffs facing the lake from where you will have magnificent views of the surroundings and the Andes Mountains.

Then, you will visit the archaeological zone where the caves are located called Punta Walichu. There, you will appreciate rupestre art in cave paintings next to shore of the lake, where thousands of years ago the Tehuelche culture left its marks on the rock and we can interpret today. It is there, inside the cave, where you will have lunch or dinner while enjoying a unique experience in a totally natural environment that will transport you to those remote years of the first explorers. At night, you can enjoy one of the 10 best skies in the world to appreciate the stars.

After finishing the tour and meal, you return to your hotel in El Calafate.
