The horse riding in Lake Roca is a full day tour and takes place in the southern area of Los Glaciares National Park. It departs from El Calafate traveling the ancient route of the estancias until you reach Lake Roca. From there, the horses are saddled and begins the ride to the main viewpoint of the area where you will have a unique view of the Perito Moreno Glacier and the surrounding mountains. Then, the tour continues heading to a camp where you will have an outdoor lunch to complete a unique experience.

Description

The ride in Lake Roca is a full-day tour and it is performed in the south area of Los Glaciares National Park.

We will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. and will head towards the Lake Roca on Route Nº 15, about 42 km from El Calafate. We will leave the steppe zone to reach the intermediate zone (echo tone).

After reaching the estancia, we will saddled the horses and head to the Andes, interpreting flora and fauna. We will ride one hour to the main viewpoint where we expect the view of the Perito Moreno glacier, Lake Rock, Cerro Moreno, South Branch, Cerro Frias, Magallanes Peninsula, Camiseta River Valley. Then, after one hour and a half ride to the camp on the banks of Rico River we will have lunch with grilled steaks with wine, juice or water.

After a good break of two and a half hours, we will ride back one more hour to the estancia, and will return to the city around 6:00 p.m.
