Relaxed tour where you visit the city center of Chalten and interest points near the area. It includes lunch at a restaurant and sail to the Viedma Glacier.
At 7:00 a.m. we start the tour at your hotel in El Calafate and go towards the north of Los Glaciares National Park (still unexplored) and El Chalten: National Capital of Trekking.
On the tour we will make several stops: at the head of Lake Argentino, where we can see the largest lake in our country and the Andes, we will arrive at the historic inn La Leona where we can see a small museum and have a snack. Continuing, we will stop at the head of Lake Viedma to observe it closely, and also appreciate some typical estancias of the area and the imposing Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, about 90 km distant.
We will arrive in El Chaltén by Route Nº23 and we will visit the iconic "mountain village" to, then, continue our journey towards the Chorrillo del Salto (waterfall over 40 meters high). Here, we will walk in the woods for about 15 minutes and will stay for a period of approximately 1 hour at the waterfall.
Afterwards, we will return for lunch at the Pudu Lodge restaurant located in the town of El Chalten, which is included in the tour without drinks. After lunch, you will have time to visit El Chalten for half an hour and visit the local craft shops.
From there, we will continue on to Tunnel Bay where we will embark to navigate the waters of Lake Viedma, in front of the largest glacier of the national park. At 17:30 pm. we begin the journey back to El Calafate to arrive about 8:00 p.m.
Navigation in the Lake Viedma is subject to weather conditions so, if this service is cancelled due to strong winds, the excursion Full Day Chalten Free Trekking with lunch at restaurant will be provided and you will receive the refund of the navigation service.
