The experience of kayaking in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier is unique, allowing you to sail between icebergs while you visit the north wall of this glacier as it has never been done before from El Calafate.
The tour includes kayaking in 2-people boats through the Canal de los Tempanos in Lake Argentino and the visit to the Perito Moreno balconies, which makes it a unique activity in the region. Groups are reduced with a limit of up to 20 people per day.
If the tour is booked with transfer from your hotel in El Calafate, we will pick you up at 7:00 a.m. and take you to the Perito Moreno balconies from where you can see the glacier for about 2 hours. If the transfer is not included, you must get to the lower parking lot of the Perito Moreno at 10:00 a.m. where the guides will take you to the dome located in front of the beach.
Once you get to the dome, we will provide you all the technical equipment (Gore-Tex dry suit, thermal suit, boots, gloves and life jacket) and explain you the techniques of paddling and safety. The guides especializad in kayaking aim to create an unrepeatable experience.
After warm-up exercises, the kayak activity takes place, always accompanied by the guides and, on certain occasions, you will be able to observe majestic icebergs floating in the surroundings. It is an experience to be witnesses of the smallness of man in front of nature and that you will never forget.
After approximately 1 hour and a half of paddling, you return to the beach and, then, to the dome to have a snack with hot drinks.
Finishing the tour, you return to the city of El Calafate at 5:00 p.m. after having lived a unique kayak experience in front of this famous glacier.
